Learning how to hypnotize is something that anyone can learn. It is amazing just how powerful the human mind is and in fact, experts opine that the human brain is only used to about ten percent of its true capacity. Yet the mind is a lot more powerful than the most powerful computer known to man. If we can learn to utilize our brains by another ten to twenty percent of its total capacity the results would be truly amazing.

If the bug of learning about the art of hypnotizing has got you in its grip it is important that you learn to distinguish between what is known as mainstream hypnosis and the one that is different and which is names covert hypnosis. The latter form of hypnosis is more powerful and it has even been outlawed by the law - at least as far as using this form of hypnosis in business and by advertising agencies go.

Before learning how to hypnotize you need to first ensure that you do in fact understand that all the things that you tell the subject prior to the hypnosis process will have as much importance as the things you say during the hypnosis. Also, before hypnotizing a person you need to ask them whether they have been hypnotized earlier and if so, what their experience was. This information will help you to choose the best methods of hypnotizing the subject.

Also, before the actual process of hypnosis begins you will first of all have to describe the hypnosis procedure to the subject and in addition you will need to ask them to ask you about any aspect of hypnosis that they do not understand or wish to learn more about. You will then need to provide suitable answers to the questions put to you.

When hypnotizing a person you have to pay special attention to the conscious mind. In fact, the conscious mind needs to be distracted because without such distractions the mind would continue to remain fixated on objections as well as doubts and fears and other obstacles to achieving your goals.

Next, you have to ask the subject to relax while saying comforting words such as "allow yourself to relax; relax your legs and feet". You should also ask the subject to relax their hips, waist and chest as well as arms and even shoulders. In fact, you must request the subject to relax their minds and bodies.

You also have to tell them that there are ten steps till they reach the bottom and that as they go down each step that they will feel more relaxed. This exercise must be repeated at most for three times.

It is now up to you to use the subject's body language and breathing as cues to start making the suggestions for which the hypnosis exercise has been undertaken. To end the hypnosis you can suggest to the subject that they are now resting comfortably and that they should wait till they are brought back to full consciousness.

Of course, there are several other methods that are worth exploring as well. However, using the relaxation of the eyes method is most effective and also the most used. Of course, after you have learned how to hypnotize, you can then pick a method that you feel the most comfortable with.
